Jolene & Toto
Saved from an abusive owner, Jolene carries the scars of cruelty endured. Neglected nearly to death, her horns were dulled and stunted from lack of proper care. Having witnessed her mother's slaughter, she survived through desperate days of escape and scavenging. Her resilience speaks volumes about her endurance through immense suffering. As her abuser is brought to account, she seeks comfort and safety at Emerald Hills Animal Rescue and will continue to live our her days with love and support.
Toto was saved from slaughter at a young age, but unfortunately already had his horns cut off. He was living in small area amongst goats and was desperately seeking companionship. We brought Toto and Jolene together and the two have been inseparable ever since.
The Three Little Pigs
Meet our beloved residents at Emerald Hills Animal Haven, three special pigs who were rescued along with their friend Jolene. These pigs had survived years of abuse with lack of nutrition, only surviving on tofu remnants from a nearby factory. They were left unfixed so they continuously produced babies that were also uncared for, found roaming free and often killed by passing cars or the elements. They now live safely and happily with full bellies, surrounded by their adorable babies on our santuary.

The Piglets
We had no idea when we rescued the three little pigs that both of the female pigs were pregnant! Our sanctuary tripled in size in a matter of months with Petunia having 3 adorable babies followed by Penelope who had six! We are so happy to all 12 pigs living together as a family at the Emerald Hills Animal Haven.
